Eco-glitter is over 90% biodegradable, made from plant-based cellulose, and manufactured using environmentally friendly methods with European eucalyptus trees. Eco-glitters can be used on the skin and hair just like any other cosmetic glitters, without any trace of metals or other toxins. The pigment on the surface of eco-glitters is created using natural dyes, and that lovely shimmer on the glitter surface is achieved with a 0.1% aluminum coating (small amounts of aluminum also naturally occur in the soil!). We understand that the aluminum coating might sound alarming, but there is no danger, as eco-glitter production uses completely non-toxic substances, so no hazardous compounds are formed. Amazing, isn’t it?!
